RDME5 Eyewear Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy (optical products/Nevada)

At RDME5 Eyewear, we want you to feel confident with your eyewear purchase. Because prescription eyewear and optical lenses are custom-made based on each customer’s prescription, measurements, frame selection, and lens choices, returns and refunds are handled according to the policy below.

Return Window

Return or exchange requests must be made within 30 days from the date your order is marked delivered.

After 30 days from delivery, we are unable to offer a refund, return, or exchange, except where required by law or covered under an approved warranty or prescription-change request.

Prescription & Custom Optical Products

Prescription lenses and custom optical products are generally non-returnable and non-refundable because they are made specifically for each customer. Exceptions may apply for manufacturing defects, lab errors, damage upon delivery, approved prescription-change requests, or other issues required by law.

This may include:

  • Single vision, bifocal, progressive, specialty, photochromic, polarized, tinted, or high-index lenses
  • Customized eyewear
  • Items made using customer-provided prescriptions, measurements, lens options, or frame selections
  • Lenses made for a customer’s own frame

Prescription Changes

If your eye doctor changes your prescription, you may request a prescription remake within 60 days from the date your order is marked delivered.

A copy of the updated prescription may be required.

Prescription changes are reviewed case by case and apply only when the prescription has been changed by the prescribing doctor. This does not apply to customer entry errors, expired prescriptions, incorrect measurements provided by the customer, or changes unrelated to the doctor’s updated prescription.

Non-Prescription & Eligible Returns

Non-prescription items may be eligible for return if they:

  • Are unused
  • Are in original condition
  • Are returned in original packaging
  • Include proof of purchase

Eligible non-prescription returns must be requested within 30 days from the date your order is marked delivered.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Prescription or custom optical products, except for approved defect, lab error, damage, or prescription-change claims
  • Clearance or final-sale items
  • Gift cards, if offered
  • Used, damaged, altered, or incomplete items
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper handling, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued when applicable, including for:

  • Items showing signs of wear
  • Items returned with missing parts not due to our error
  • Opened or used non-prescription items, if accepted
  • Orders where only part of the purchase qualifies for refund

Returns received after the 30-day window are generally not eligible for refund unless approved by RDME5 Eyewear or required by law.

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether your refund, exchange, remake, or warranty request has been approved or rejected.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit card company, or payment provider.

Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund has not posted, please first check with your bank or credit card company, as processing times may vary.

If you still need help, contact us at [email protected].

Sale & Clearance Items

Sale, clearance, discontinued, and final-sale items are not refundable unless defective, damaged upon delivery, or required by law.

Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective, damaged upon delivery, made incorrectly, or approved under a prescription-change or warranty request.

To request an exchange, email [email protected] with your order number, photos if applicable, and a description of the issue.

Approved exchanges or returns must be sent to the return address provided by RDME5 Eyewear after your request is reviewed.

Customer’s Own Frame

RDME5 Eyewear may accept a customer’s own frame for lens replacement on a case-by-case basis.

Not all frames are suitable for new prescription lenses. We reserve the right to refuse frames that are damaged, fragile, brittle, low quality, over-the-counter readers, or not designed for ophthalmic prescription lenses.

If a customer chooses to use their own frame, RDME5 Eyewear is not responsible for pre-existing damage, age-related weakness, or breakage that may occur during handling, edging, mounting, shipping, or adjustment.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the issue was caused by RDME5 Eyewear, such as a confirmed lab error, incorrect item, or damaged item upon delivery.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless otherwise approved.

For higher-value items, we recommend using tracked and insured shipping. RDME5 Eyewear is not responsible for items lost in transit.

Gifts

If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, an approved return may result in store credit.

If the item was not marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser and original payment method.

Nevada Consumer Notice

This policy is intended to clearly explain RDME5 Eyewear’s return, refund, exchange, prescription-change, and warranty procedures. Prescription eyewear and optical lenses are custom-made based on the customer’s prescription, measurements, frame selection, and lens choices. Nothing in this policy limits any rights a customer may have under applicable Nevada or federal consumer protection laws.
